What do you desire? What would you do to achieve it? There is no end to the desires that arise in one’s heart but there are limits to our ability to fulfill them. Problems arise when our desires exceed our abilities. This is why it is VERY important that we learn self-control from a young age.
The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is currently one of the fastest cars in the world. However, because it so fast, this car is also equipped with a very powerful braking system. Think of a Bugatti Veyron accelerating to 268 mph with a weak braking system. Traveling at that speed with no safe way to stop would be disastrous, right?
If you only have desires and no strength to control them, it is just like driving a super car without brakes.
Our desires are just like an engine. Nobody should just press forward to fulfill their desires simply because they can or want to. They should also know how to slow down and even stop, when necessary.
