Purpose

“With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible” (Mark 10:27).

Through this Word, Jesus clearly distinguished the difference between true faith and false faith. True faith is focusing on the works of God, but false faith is focusing on the deeds of man.
The Reformation initiated by Martin Luther in 1517 was a revolution away from man-oriented faith that focuses on human deeds and closer to God-oriented faith that focuses on the works of God. However, modern theology, which had risen after Friedrich Schleiermacher’s “Addresses on Religion” in 1799, spread man-oriented faith throughout the world.

“The main problem of modern evangelicalism is caused by man-oriented theology that has been taught at many universities. Churches that do not teach how to deny the righteousness of man are not based on true evangelism.” (Martyn Lloyd-Jones)

The best known preacher of the 20th century, Lloyd-Jones, warned that “modern evangelicalism is very different from the evangelical Puritans of the 18th century” and emphasized that modern evangelicalism is not faithful to the Bible.

“The revival of the work of God means the revival of the old Gospel. We have to listen to the Gospel that was preached by Apostle Paul and George Whitefield again. The most important things needed to revive faith are to thoroughly deny the righteousness of human beings, to accept the fact that Jesus cleansed us of all our sins, and to restore the Gospel of God’s Grace.” (Charles Spurgeon)

Spurgeon, the famous “Prince of Preachers”, also emphasized the old Gospel that denies man’s righteousness and acknowledges only God’s righteousness is the true Gospel. As the prayer of the Prophet Habakkuk says “O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years” (Habakkuk 3:2), a real revival is only for God to fulfill.

“I will clearly deliver it to the world that the Bible is the living Word of God and the true faith is to believe that God is living to fulfill His own work faithfully without the deeds of man.” (Pastor Ock Soo Park, Founder of Good News Mission & International Youth Fellowship, and President of Mahanaim Cyber College of Theology)

Pastor Ock Soo Park was the first graduate from the WEC Missionary School in Korea founded by Charles Studd, the famous pioneer of a student gospel movement, and his co-workers D.L. Moody and Spurgeon. Pastor Park started the Mahanaim Bible College and IYF World Camp to spread true faith to the people of the world.

In addition, many ministers and pastors met Pastor Ock Soo Park and shared fellowship with him at the local pastors’ workshops that were held during the IYF World Camp in many various countries. They agreed, “Finally, I received faith that is essential for the revival of this era!” There is a great demand from pastors all over the world to establish a more deep and wide knowledge of the true faith in God. This has initiated the idea to hold the 2015 World Christian Leaders’ Workshop in New York.

The WCLW will continue to encourage Christian leaders in the world to focus on true faith to achieve the fulfillment of spreading the Gospel to the ends of the earth in this last era.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][x_image type=”none” src=”http://www.iyfjamaica.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/purpose-3-700×331.png” alt=”” link=”false” href=”” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=”” class=”x-img” style=”display: block;margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;max-width: 100%;height: auto;vertical-align: middle;border: 0;”][x_share title=”Share this Post” share_title=”” facebook=”true” twitter=”true” google_plus=”true” linkedin=”true” pinterest=”true” reddit=”true” email=”true” email_subject=”Hey, thought you might enjoy this!
