The mind is complex and can be divided into levels, referring to levels of thought. Water is something we take for granted too; however, we can all concede that there are many levels of water quality. There is clean water with no visible trace of living organisms that we call drinking water. There is also water that is so corrupted that we call it “black water”.
The mind basically has 5 levels that indicates levels of thought. Level 5 is the lowest and base level of thinking and Level 1 being deep and enlightened thought. In addition, people have three instinctive desires: food/nourishment; rest; and sexual. Someone who lives with a LEVEL 4 mindset is obsessed with and being dragged by these instinctive desires. Their focus is satisfying these base needs and that is all or mostly what they think about.
If we stop to think about our own lives, our minds tend to seek a way to fulfill these same base desires especially when we find free time. This mindset provides little or no latitude for one to think deeply about the decisions that they make. Many of the choices made with this mindset are influenced by the desire to fulfill a pressing base need in that moment, with little thought of consequences.
We persist with this basic mindset when our hearts have never learnt to meet and overcome challenges. As a result, we tend to believe that happiness will follow when these desires are satisfied. Unfortunately, nobody can ever find true happiness by living according to their feelings. Happiness isn’t obtained by simply fulfilling desires that are unending; fulfilling one desire just creates the need to fulfill another. True happiness comes from learning to control our desires.
When a balloon is blown up to its maximum, the only thing it can do is to explode when more air is added. The human mind was designed to go beyond our perceived physical limit, just like how physical muscles become stronger when pushed. This is actually the key to a higher quality of life. If we just live within our perceived limits, we can only live catering to basic needs. Living like this would be no different from wild animals who can only live to eat, sleep and reproduce.
Human beings can push themselves and develop a stronger mindset by accepting the pressure of pushing past difficulties and burdens. Living just to live is meaningless and brings no satisfaction. Of course, it is normal to have desires but we can’t live just to fulfil them. A change in our lives starts with a change in our mindset.[/text_output][/vc_column][vc_column fade_animation_offset=”45px” width=”1/3″][ultimate_heading main_heading=”Recent Posts” alignment=”left” main_heading_font_size=”desktop:20px;” main_heading_font_family=”font_family:Oswald|font_call:Oswald”][/ultimate_heading][recent_posts type=”post” count=”3″ orientation=”vertical” fade=”true” offset=”” category=”” id=”” class=”” style=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row padding_top=”0px” padding_bottom=”0px”][vc_column fade_animation_offset=”45px” width=”1/1″][vc_raw_html]JTNDc3R5bGUlM0UlMEEuZW50cnktdGh1bWIlMjBpbWclMjAlN0IlMEElMjAlMjAlMjAlMjBtYXgtaGVpZ2h0JTNBJTIwNDAwcHglM0IlMEElN0QlMEElMEEucG9zdC1jb250ZW50JTIwJTdCJTBBJTIwJTIwJTIwJTIwdGV4dC1hbGlnbiUzQSUyMGp1c3RpZnklM0IlMEElMjAlMjAlMjAlMjB0ZXh0LWp1c3RpZnklM0ElMjBpbnRlci13b3JkJTNCJTBBJTdEJTBBJTNDJTJGc3R5bGUlM0U=[/vc_raw_html][/vc_column][/vc_row]
