They can be about exercising, maintaining a certain diet, or making other changes in their normal behaviour. People don’t make these resolutions only at the beginning of each year. Whenever a need to change is strong enough, it gives birth to a resolution which is effectively a promise to themselves.
Having made these resolutions, some people are able to start and actually complete them. Others, eventually run out of steam and are unable to complete it. Even persons who actually complete some can’t be consistent with all of them. Why is it like that?
We naturally have a lot of confidence that our intentions and determinations are stronger than our desires. On the contrary, our intentions can be powerful and give us a rush of euphoria, making us think we can do almost anything. Nonetheless, like most energy drinks, the rush doesn’t last for long. We discover this to be true when we ACTUALLY try to do it.
Our natural tendency is lean towards things that are comfortable and not difficult. This is instinctive so we hardly notice it. Making critical changes, however, require something more than our resolve. Successful athletes have a coach to push them past their comfort zones so they can develop and become successful. We all need someone in our lives to “push” us towards the things we need to do.
Our intentions alone are usually not strong enough to cause us to start and complete our goals. Do you have someone in your life who can help to “push” you to achieve your goals?[/text_output][share title=”Share this Post” facebook=”true” twitter=”true” google_plus=”true” linkedin=”true” pinterest=”true” reddit=”true” email=”true” id=”” class=”” style=””][/vc_column][vc_column fade_animation_offset=”45px” width=”1/3″][ultimate_heading main_heading=”Recent Posts” alignment=”left” main_heading_font_size=”desktop:20px;” main_heading_font_family=”font_family:Oswald|font_call:Oswald”][/ultimate_heading][recent_posts type=”post” count=”3″ orientation=”vertical” fade=”true” offset=”” category=”” id=”” class=”” style=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row padding_top=”0px” padding_bottom=”0px”][vc_column fade_animation_offset=”45px” width=”1/1″][vc_raw_html]JTNDc3R5bGUlM0UlMEEuZW50cnktdGh1bWIlMjBpbWclMjAlN0IlMEElMjAlMjAlMjAlMjBtYXgtaGVpZ2h0JTNBJTIwNDAwcHglM0IlMEElN0QlMEElMEEucG9zdC1jb250ZW50JTIwJTdCJTBBJTIwJTIwJTIwJTIwdGV4dC1hbGlnbiUzQSUyMGp1c3RpZnklM0IlMEElMjAlMjAlMjAlMjB0ZXh0LWp1c3RpZnklM0ElMjBpbnRlci13b3JkJTNCJTBBJTdEJTBBJTNDJTJGc3R5bGUlM0U=[/vc_raw_html][/vc_column][/vc_row]
